The Honourable Maxie Cuffie is affiliated with the PNM (People's National Movement) and he is the representative for La Horquetta/Talparo. The PNM won the General Election on 7 September 2015 and Mr. Maxie Cuffie currently holds the position as Minister of Public Administration and Communication.
