Acid reflux is a medical condition that affects a lot of people. Acid Reflux occurs when a valve in the stomach called the lower esophageal schincter (LES) does not close all the way or opens too often; if this happens the stomach acid escapes into the esophagus.

Symptoms of Acid Reflux are:

- Heartburn
- Regurgitation
- Bloating
- Burping
- Dysphagia (sensation of food being stuck in throat)
- Hiccups (that doesn't stop)
- Nausea
- Weight loss for no reason
- Wheezing, dry cough, hoarseness, chronic sore throat
