The Office of the Prime Minister holds a very large portfolio as the elected leader of the country and some of this office's key duties are:

1. to appoint or dismiss ministers
2. to decide and distribute functions of ministers
3. appoints and presides over Cabinet issues and agendas
4. Other functions include constitutional matters, national statistics, national awards, ecclesiastical affairs.
